Who we are
Norandel is a small self-drive rental company in Salford with one Moskvich 5. No premises, no counter, no staff whose job is to sell you something on the way to the keys. We deliver and collect inside the M60.
What we actually compete on
The total. Hire pricing across the industry is built around a low advertised day rate and a set of additions that appear later: excess reduction, a young driver fee, a delivery line, an admin fee, a refuelling charge. Two quotes that look thirty per cent apart on the website frequently land in the same place.
So we quote one figure with everything inside it, and there are exactly three things that can ever be added afterwards: fuel, mileage past your allowance, and damage beyond fair wear. If you have a quote from somewhere else, send it and we will tell you honestly what it is missing — which is sometimes nothing.
Where the low rate comes from
Not from thin cover. The excess is £750, which is normal for the class, and insurance and breakdown are in every price. It comes from not having a building, a forecourt or counter staff, and from running one car well rather than forty adequately.
The same instinct is why our longest page is about whether the car is worth the money to buy, and why that page concludes that for a lot of people the answer is no.
What we will not do
Sell you a longer booking than you need, quote a fuel consumption figure we cannot verify, or claim a customer count. If your budget does not stretch to the car, we would rather say so. Ask us for a total and see what comes back.
